It never fails to amaze me how stupid the liberal mindset can be.  Unencumbered by fact,
wisdom, historical knowledge or just plain common sense, they are incessantly calling for more money to
fund their hapless schemes.  The disaster du jour: public schools.  Decade after decade they promise to
do better.  Just one more school bond and things will turn around.  You'll see....

God, if stupidity could be bottled and sold, they could shower schools with money and have plenty left
over to make our world a paradise.  Meanwhile, there's this nasty thing called reality.  To the bleeding
hearts among us, the brutish facts of life can be overcome with a tax on the rich.  When does the light
bulb go ding over their heads?

A case in point: the latest recommendation from the Marxists at the Mercury News.  They're calling for a
school bond to solve the cess pool our government schools have become.  It has to be the millionth bond
measure, but this one will do the trick.  They promise!  My response below.
To the Editor,

Much to my surprise, the Mercury News is supporting another school bond measure.  A shocking
development!  There appears to be no end to your faith in the state-imposed education monopoly.  No
matter how many times insufficient spending is trotted out as an excuse for poor performance in
government schools, the promise of "reform" is always one tax increase away.  One wonders when you
will finally question the system itself.

By all means, let us herd thousands more through a hopelessly inept system while handing taxpayers the
bill.  We are becoming so reliant on long-term bonds to fund failed social engineering programs that those
graduating high school now will still be paying for them well into adulthood.  Unfortunately, they will have
none of the critical thinking skills necessary to realize that they have been sold a bill of goods.  Maybe
ignorance is bliss after all.
