By popular demand I am continuing the popular drama “as the Chuck turns. When we last left our
hero, Chuck was busy recovering from her experience in the surf at Huntington Beach. The following day
Chuck joined me for a fun filled day of rugby at our home field in Newport Beach. Much to my surprise
Chuck was extremely well behaved most of the day except there were some issues with tangling the leash
around my chair.

While I was on the field during the first game a teammates girlfriend supervised Chuck.  After the game I
had to recover the food that had been spilled on the grass so Chuck would not starve. The friend of a
teammate, a rather attractive woman joined us, so I instantly tried to use the cute dog ploy to score
points with her. All was going great until we noticed an unidentified object on the towel that Chuck was
lounging on. At first we thought it was a bird crap but eventually realized that Chuck had spontaneously
hacked up a tooth. The romance was over and not a surprise I have not seen that woman since. Thanks,
Chuck.

A couple days later I took Chuck for a walk but decided to deviate from the routine and walk to the
convention center.  Along the way we came upon the fountain in front of the performing arts center.
Since it was nighttime the fountains were off and the water was calm so Chuck decided to check the
situation out. She first sniffed the water then stuck a paw in it. The water at the edge was about 2
inches deep so Chuck didn’t hesitate to jump in. The fun and games lasted all of about 10 seconds
when Chuck decided to venture out a little bit further. What Chuck did not know was that the bottom
suddenly dropped off, you guessed it Chuck fell into the deep end for a second aquatic adventure.
Fortunately this time she did not completely freak out and the walk was completed without further drama.

More to come…it gets better.
