A short ride from my hotel to Lignon Hill yields an unobstructed view of the area's ever-present active volcano, Mount
Mayon. Shortly before my trip, thousands surrounding the peak had been evacuated as minor lava flows and ash
were punctuated with a steadily increasing series of seismic events. While I had thoughts of diverting from my original
itinerary, I sucked it up and headed for the area. There were kids to visit. Photos of the area follow.
