September 6, 2002 Okay, so much for Labor Day.  Next up: a weekend with the Junors.   First a day touring the sites of San Francisco, a city intent on erecting buildings on hills, no matter how steep.

Alcatraz, otherwise known as "The Rock."  A less hospitable place is difficult to imagine.
